Who is Bob?

Bob Ruediger is a globetrotter, unpaid athlete, passionate sports fan, and a caring husband and uncle. Bob is a devoted husband to his wife, Keunhee, whom he fell in love with while living in her home country, South Korea, for five years. When they aren't busy facetiming with their nieces and nephews, they enjoy bouldering, trying new restaurants, and traveling the world.

Bob is a longtime fan of Manchester City FC and has been involved in official supporters groups in both Pittsburgh and Seattle. He is also a lifelong hockey player who still plays a few times a week and can be found reffing local adult leagues on his nights off.

Who is Bob?

As a Human Experience Designer, I'm driven by a passion for crafting experiences that are not just functional, but genuinely inviting, accessible, useful, and enticing for everyone. After years developing skills in diverse professional landscapes—including teaching, travel consulting, interviewing, and analytical work—I realized my professional passion was in the power of understanding people and crafting better human experiences.

My worldview, and consequently my design philosophy, has been profoundly shaped by living abroad for seven years in South Korea and the Czech Republic. These experiences instilled in me a unique cross-cultural perspective and a fundamental appreciation for diverse human behaviors—an invaluable foundation for creating truly human-centered designs.

Currently based in Seattle, I proudly hold the title of Human Experience Designer at Motivf. I particularly thrive in the intricate world of GIS products and interactive maps, and I love transforming complex spatial data into approachable and delightful user journeys. I leverage strong user research skills, human-centered and co-design techniques, and stakeholder engagement to uncover what people truly need, delivering user-informed designs across various sectors, including government, transit, education, and environmental.

When I'm not immersed in design problems, you can find me on the ice playing (or reffing) hockey, supporting Manchester City FC, bouldering, or traveling the world with my incredible wife, Keunhee. My brother and I also run a small hockey accessories business aimed at making the game more affordable, equitable, and accessible.
